Hello every body

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with using any of those stick type upright basses with the onboard pre-amp/controls through either the L1 or the compact.

I have a compact sitting there doing nothing.......... just how it would work with one and would be ok to play one through

Hi Vincent,

I've run electric bass guitars directly into my L1® Compact many times with excellent results. This was in acoustic music oriented shows, not full band situations. 

I think you'll be fine with your EUB (Electronic Upright Bass) as long as you're not expecting really big bass response.  The L1® Compact goes down to 65 Hz (-3dB). That's a C2. Your low E string is E1, about 41 Hz. But despite what the numbers suggest, you will hear the fundamental notes on your E string.  Just not thunderously loud.
