I am a full time musician and run vocals, guitar and keys through l1model 2 with B2 bass. I was at a solo gig last weekend and the sound wasn’t as full as usual, very tinny with almost no bass signal. I run an iPad playlist during breaks and it was the same case.called my bass player to bring a spare 4 wire speakon and it was the same sound. I got through a frustrating gig and went to his house, set everything up and it was fine. I had a wedding gig the next day so I set it all up in the morning and again fine. Got to my gig that day, same problem with little or no bass! I have an extra board so I tried that and it seemed to work so I figured it was something with the tonematch. Took a break and put on the iPad through the other board and no bass signal. I’m stumped!!! Is it a driver in the stand? Bad cat5 cable? I’m always proud of my sound and the b2 is built like a brick house but could the cabinet be bad? I set everything up today and it sounded fine so this is freaking me out! Help, I hope it’s something simple. I have a ****** backup system and a full week of corporate gigs next week.
Hello ChrisCrosbyGroup,
That certainly is frustrating. It sounds like the issue you are experiencing is a signal that is out of phase. If the iPad is not summed to mono it will sound as if part of the song is missing (tinny), and little to no bass.
How do you have your iPad connected to the T1? It is suggested to use a 3.5mm - Dual 1/4" cable. If you are using that already I would suggest trying another one to test.
If your issue persists feel free to call us and we will help you out.
Thank you,
