Bose B2's with non Bose Amp

We have a Bose L1 II with a B2 bass unit for ceremonies and small events.
For larger events we have a number of Bose 802’s. There are a few occasions I would like to add a little bass to the 802’s. Is it possible to use two B2’s with a non Bose amp to run alongside to 802’s.
If so:-
What is the power rating of the B2’s?
What power amp would you advise for two B2’s
Will to Panaray controller provide full range to the 802’s and a bass output for the B2’s
thanks

Hi Derek,

Great question. While I can’t say the B2 is designed for this application (it’s specifically designed and voiced for use with the L1 systems), it will work.

The B2 is 4 ohms, and it is looking for around a 200 watt amplifier.

And yes, you will want to use your Panaray controller. There is no internal crossover in the B2, so the controller will have to do the job of filtering out the highs.
