Bose L1 M2 rythmic popping, no sound

I rented a unit this past weekend, it worked for my gig on Saturday, but now there’s something wrong. The red light is on, on the base there is no sound from my instruments. There is only static popping sound that comes through the speakers at about the rate of a about 1 every 1.5 seconds, Sometimes that rate changes and I hear the fan slow down for a split second.

I apologize that you are having an issue with your rental system; I would notify the location that you rented the system of this is issue.

Thanks for getting back to me. I returned the base stand and exchanged it for another. Are malfunctions like this common for this equipment?

Red light instead of green for the power indicator? Not much you can do about it. Take it back for an exchange.

Yes, I returned the base and for now all appears to be O.K. for now.

As someone who is considering the bose Model 2 for vocal amplification, I am concerned about the reliability. What is the warranty like on these things?

My Fender acoustisonic has a five year warranty, which coincidently, was just in for repairs recently after 3 years of steady use.
