Has anyone used in combination Bose L1 MII and DBX DriveRack PX? I heard that the DriveRack PX is built for power speakers and received great reviews for other types of speakers. I just want to know if it would and could be a valuable addition for the L1 lines of products.
Thanks,

Do a quick search of the forum here and you will find that most of us agree that its not the right tool for the job. If you are using an aftermarket subwoofer in conjunction with the Bose tower, then yes, use it on the subwoofer as a crossover/limiter.
I don’t think you need the subharmonic processor (tends to damage more gear than help it) and with proper set up of the Bose, you don’t need the feedback eliminator. System EQ can easily be dialed in with the T1 mixer better than you can with the EQs in the driverack.
I have one installed on my main rig and at times have used it with a pair of L1s FOH mains. Yes, they work fine. Might be overkill unless you want really big sound and in that case the L1s will deliver.
BTW, you would not want to play in front of the L1s for very long when they are really are really pushing the dbs.
Thank you Rain Jaudon and Paxflyer. I have the L1 MII systems since the first day and used them in many gigs. I believe I asked about the DriveRack in the past, but not the PX version which was designed to work with power speaker. I played around with it at the store using other power speakers and found that the DriveRack boosts the sound quality. That was what prompted me to think about using it for the L1s. The majority of my gigs are in close quarters where I and other performers stand next or in front of the L1s (no other choice). So, if the PX’s feedback works for the L1s, it would be a great thing.

In my opinion, the driverack is mostly for eq’ing the room by notching out the rumble bad freqs. The L1s do not suffer the same problem unless your running two or more subs per stick. In this case, just dial down the bass or remove one bass and see what you get. You can also use one sub by working a wall in your favor.
Yes, the driverack has balancing and presets for their own company speakers. Once you “pink” a room, that eq setting can be saved but it’s really for big 12-15" mains. It’s amazing how bad 15’ mains can sound in a high ceiling bar. I would pass on the driverack and the associated rack/gear if using just L1s…
using a driverack pa with great success

I use the Driverack PA in conjunction with the L1mII system and find it very useful for problem rooms and controlling feedback. If you play large venues at high volumes and have difficulty reducing feedback this product is very useful, the feedback rejection works very well. Also for multiple systems where you may need to add some delay to avoid phase problems it provides a simple solution.
Only drawback I find apart from adding weight to your rig is that I very rarely get time to go through the calibration procedure at every venue but it's worth doing if you can. this only needs to be done once as each venue's settings can be stored as a preset.

How do you wire up the drive rack pa to the L1 model II Bose
