Connecting our band

We are a three piece acoustic band. All three sing, with 2 acoustic guitars and a keyboard. I have an L1 compact and a T1 tonematch. We also have a Behringer Eurorack UB2222fx-PRO mixer. What would be the best way for us to use our system? What would connect where?

Hi pdf,

Three guys with three instruments will be a crowd on a Compact.
That said, I’d put the vocals in the T1 XLR channels, T1 main out into the Compact, channel two.
Plug instruments into the Eurorack and route it’s outputs into the T1 ch 4/5.

Watch your gain staging on the Euro.

Good luck!

Thanks Drumr. When you say this will be a crowd on the compact, what exactly do you mean? What issues should i expect to encounter?

I was thinking these scenarios might work:

1. plug vocals into T1 XLR Channels (same), T1 main out into compact (same), 2 acoustic guitars into T1 4/5,
keyboard into RCA channels on compact. Would that work assuming i would have to convert the keyboard 1/4
inch to RCA?

-or-

2. Same as above except run keyboard through seperate dedicated amp. Everything else plugged into T1.
So would only have 3 vocals and 2 acoustic guitars through compact.

I totally missed that scenario, yes, that would work, and relieve you from using the Behringer, I'd go that way.
Taking the keys and running it thru and amp is a win/lose situation.
You have less crowding into the Compact, but you get the beamy-ness, and reduced side-to-side spread of a backline amp.

By crowding, I mean that, as the L1 system (of any model) was originally designed as a "one-per-player" system, and putting six inputs into a full sized L1, much less, a Compact "crowds" the monitoring image you get on stage. In other words, you will find it harder to pick out "me" when you are all singing at once.

Your setup will work, but a second Compact, and dividing up the six inputs would help bunches, a third would be blissful.
