Controls for aux channel 4&5`

I’m using the Tone Match to hookup a conference call group for our church. I’m feeding the aux output channel 4&5 into a Samsung 4 smartphone that they have conference call software on. The audio signal is great for voice but the people on the call say the piano is garbled: almost as if the tone match is overwhelming the phone’s ability to handle the input. Hookup is via a trrs cable. Is there any way to adjust the aux signal other than output strength?

This sounds like the signal for the piano is too hot as you suggested, and/or the phone input is designed for a stereo source. The T1® Aux output is Mono, balanced. I would try using a Tip-Sleeve connection from the T1® to the phone. I’d also adjust the level of the Piano output to Aux. See more information at the bottom of this post.

In this case I would try sending less of your piano channel as it may be clipping the input for the phone. The only other thing I may advise is to be sure you’re sending this source to the AUX output pre-fader so that your volume knob adjustments on the Tonematch do not affect the volume being sent to the AUX output.
