We are aware of an issue with CSD 5.0 and the ESP FIXED IO.
When a design file (CSD 5.0) for an ESP FIXED IO, with no expansion card and the design includes a CC16 is uploaded, the next time the ESP is powered the power LED will be red and you might not see the ESP in the Hardware manager.
This also happens when you update an ESP FIXED IO to CSD 5.0.
Workaround:
- Install CSD 4.42
- Run CSupdate.exe
- ESP should populate
- Click on Update
- If after the update the power LED is still red, click on scan in CSD and upload this empty design.
