Near Austin, TX: There will be two L1 Model 2 systems on each of four stages at the Dripping Springs Songwritwer Festival this weekend, starting today (Friday). Afternoon venues are free to attend, evening showcase event featuring the hits writers is $25.
… for any NON-Texians, this town is pronounced:
Drippin Sprangs
… just to be clear …
Mark - how are you running them?
L & R mains with a mixer, or…
Each with their own T1, players plug in distributed across the two?
Thanks…

We are finding the clarity of each source going through only one system sounds great, especially when someone on the other system sings harmonies (as songwriters often do) because of the audio separation.

Jim Halfpenny, one of the DSSF founders, performs at the pre-festival Songwriter VIP party at Twisted-X (a local micro-brewery and festival sponsor - their Jalepeno pepper infused “Fuego” is very interesting!).
L-R: Patrick Donahue, Havilah Tower, Tracie Lynn, Ray Primm performing at Mercer Street Dance Hall patio.
L-R: Matthew Payne, Maggie Baugh and Havilah Tower performing on the “Barber Shop” pub stage.
The festival was very well attended and ran smoothly (especially for a first-time event). It will happen again next year - I hope to be invited back.
Special thanks to Jim Halfpenny, Laurie Halfpenny, Dave Niemeyer and Frank Kopankiewitz for initiating and producing a wonderful event.
The surprise for me, is seeing the T1s on the side of the L1s instead of on mic stand adapters. If I was performing, my arm could not reach all the way over there … ?

These songwriters are not necessarily experienced with the T1's so I trained sound engineers for each stage. They would to help get the performers plugged in then dial in each performer's voice & instrument.
