During Breaks

I have currently been using a L1 compact for solo gigs. 1 guitar and  mic. Sometimes during breaks, I use an I pod, or I phone directly connected to the compact bottom with either a split L/R aux jack or there is even a small single aux jack available on the unit that I've used for his purpose.

I am awaiting delivery of L1 Model ll, w /T1 Tone Match engine. Looking at on line illustrations of the product, I Do Not see any of these size ports on the power stand or the T1 Audio Engine.  The owners manual illustrates  a DJ scene using a mixer.

Will I be able to connect  an (I pod or phone) using proper sized adaptor from either devise into the  1/4"   TRS Analog Input on the power stand? Hopefully so.

Hi Ron,

Your T1® Channel 4/5 was designed to take a stereo input, mix it down to mono so you can use the Presets, EQ, effects and control the volume.

If you are not using T1® Channel 4/5 for other things then I would do this.

Please click the picture for more details.

If you cannot use T1® Channels 4/5 then you

  • can set you iPod to mono (see below)
  • use a 1/8" to 1/4" splitter cable
  • use only one side of the splitter cable to connect to the L1® Model II Power Stand analog input
  • Note: DO NOT connect a stereo signal to the L1® Model II Power Stand analog input. It will not work.

How to enable mono audio on iPhone and iPad for those with hearing impairments
  • Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Tap on General.
  • Tap on Accessibility.
  • Under the Hearing section, turn On the option for Mono Audio.

All good Ron?
