Looking for some advice on the best way to gain stage my Bose F1 setup.
Right now On my DJ Mixer, I set the main output to just below peaking under the red.
then I hook up my Mixer outputs to the Bose f1 Sub, and from the Sub out I go up to the 812's.
I'm doing a huge Gym, tonught so I want to push these to the max.
I turn up the Subs gradually but notice the LIMIT light is coming on before the signal clip is turning RED. If the limit Light is on consistently is that bad even though the signal is not clipping?
Is the Limiter degrading the sound if it on on consistently? Should lower the Volume on the Sub, so the limiter only Limits occasionally.
I was trying to turn it up as far as I could without clipping, but I can't seem to get it to clip without the Limiter engaging.
Right now I feel like I am not getting enough Bass in this gym. Maybe it's just the acoustics. They do have some carpet down on the floor, so I'm not sure if that is helping the sound or absorbing the sound.

If you are seeing the yellow limiting light, flickers are okay, but if you see it constantly, then you want to turn down the volume.

There are a few things you can do to help.
Put the F1 Model 812s up on stands so that you can place the F1 Subwoofers independent of the F1 Model 812s.
Put the F1 Subwoofers together.
Put the F1 Subwoofers together against a wall.
Basically, you can influence how the F1 Subwoofers perform by experimenting with positioning. Putting the F1 Subwoofer on either side of your DJ setup is not necessarily better or worse than putting them together, but it will be different compared to putting them together.
Bose having the insight to have a regular pole mount on the 812 speakers was a stroke of genius.... It gives the user great flexibility especially when having the subs... to try different configurations to get the best results possible.

I noticed that the top was clipping and giving a red light at times at the half way volume..I had set it's switch to use with subs.. I want to know how can I get a good volume out if my 812 top without it's volume being clipped.. will the red light at the back will cause harm if it's showing at few beats..I'm from India

SIGNAL/CLIP (red) The SIGNAL/CLIP lights come on before clipping and may light up and stay on for up to a full second even if you not actually clipping the input. You can think of this as an early warning. It's actually okay if you see red.
LIMITER The F1 Model 812 manages the signal to avoid going into LIMITING. That means that except under really extreme conditions you may never see the LIMIT light.

Volume Controls and Signal / Clip lights
Typically you will want to set your source (usually a mixer or T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine) to the maximum you can without clipping. On a mixer, this may be shown as unity or 0.
When setting the Volume Control on the F1 Model 812 you can turn up the Volume Control until you see solid red, and then turn it down a little. Occasional red flickers (up to a second long) are okay. This may start to happen at -5 dB before clipping or with transient peaks. You will see these to warn you when you are approaching clipping. If you see solid red then you may be clipping.
It is completely fine to turn up the Volume well beyond 12:00 o'clock if you need to.
After you have found the maximum volume available you can control the system volume at the source. You probably won't have to change this setting unless you use a different source.
You won't damage the system if the red lights are visible. The internal limiter will protect the system. You can tell when the limiter is working. The yellow limiter light will come on.
