What is the easiest way to boost up bass and treble in ToneMatch? I play my iPod music using DJ/Playback scene. Thank You.
Hi trinn81,
Good question.
Have tried using the zEQ?
Press Ch Edit button for the channel(s) you are using for the iPod music. I’m guessing this channel 4/5.
Turn the rotary selector to zEQ.
Adjust the Low and High. (press the buttons below the display to enable the controls, then turn them).
And here is an article for you.
I Need More Bass
Does that help?
Thank you for your response. I will digest your attached article later when I get home. I just bought my L1 Model2 B2 last week, so I assumed the software is version 1.4 right? If that is the case, I don’t have to update my ToneMatch, right? Thank You.
Hi trinn81,
Here’s how to check the firmware versions.
What version level is your T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine? (T1® for short)
- Turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs
- Press the first button
- Turn the first button until you see Versions
- Press the button
- The versions for the firmware will be displayed. The versions shown below are sample values.
See:T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine Firmware Updates for the latest firmware
- See:T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine Firmware Updates for the latest firmware
Right now the latest T1® firmware is 1.8.
What have you got?
Notes: What version of the T1® Firmware do I have?
What version is your Power Stand?

- Turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs
- Press the first button
- Turn the first button until you see Power Stand
- Press the button
- The version is displayed.
The latest versions add support for the

The latest Power Stand EQ: 1.0.4
The latest Power Stand Firmware: 1.4 (user updateable)
If you don’t have that please update your firmware at this link:
L1® Model II Power Stand Firmware Updates.
Here are the versions:
DSP Firmware: 1.8
Bose Presets: 1.1
Bose Scenes: 1.0
Power Stand Preferences:
PS 2 System EQ: 1.04
PS 2 Firemweare: 1.5
Thank You
Same here. I have a Bose L! Model II that I purchased back in July 2014. I purchased another one on last week (December 2015) and they sound distinctly different when I used them both at my last gig. I’m trying to update my power stand.
Here’s what I am getting on my T1 ToneMatch regarding my power stands:
Old L1 Model II/B2 Bass (Purchased 7/2014)
PS II System EQ: 1.04
PS II Firmware: 1.4
New L1 Model II/B2 Bass (Purchased 12/2015)
PS II System EQ: 1.0.4
PS II Firmware: 1.5
I need to know if there was an update to the firmware. If so, where can I get it since you don’t show it as an available download on Bose’s Software download site?
I have another gig next weekend using both L1 systems. Could someone point me in the right direction to get the correct firmware downloaded??
I can be reached at bj.bryantokc@gmail.com
Hi BJ Bryant,
Thank you for joining the Forum.
Firmware version 1.5 is not compatible with units units manufactured before mid-2015. That is why it is not available for download. It is the System EQ that affects the voicing of the systems and you have the latest installed in both your your units.
I’m not sure why they would sound different.
Do you have two T1®s or one?
If one, how are you connecting the one T1® to two Model II systems.
It looks like you are expecting a response by email. We don’t do that here, but you can talk to Bose Support on the phone (free call).
