L1 Pro 8 firmware updater not working!

Thanks for update. I Successfully updated the firmware.

Negative Negative. Negative.
the update does not work. No matter what “revision” is used.
No, the product does NOT work out of the box.
I have returned this over-priced sub par L1 Pro8 and am relieved to have washed my hands of all the non-productive effort.
this is beta software at its worst.
Nothing Bose makes will earn my time and money ever again.

Same here. Both my Bose speakers updated fine.

Kim, what exactly is not working for you right out of the box? The Pro 8s sound very good. Why not contact the Bose tech line and give them an earful. They'll walk you through this mess. Either way, I wish you well.

I agree  . It worked great out of box for me. Firmware update was an issue, but I think Bose responded to it positively and quickly. They fixed it within a week which was great. It sounded great before the firmware update and it still sounds great after the update. I guess  just got one odd faulty product which could have been replaced easily.

Agreed, ER. I use AdBlock on my PC and I wondered if it interfered with the successful update. Prior to Bose making their changes, I had disabled AdBlock for the Bose site but it still didn't work, so I assume it was a Bose server side issue.

I play my Yamaha Genos keyboard through the two Bose Pro 8s and I use the Keyboard Tone match setting. It may be psychological, but I feel the Genos sounds even better after the update 😃.

At any rate, I'm keeping these puppies. Thank you for chiming in. Same goes for everyone who chimed in.

Exactly.   I have returned three of them.    This last one will be returned today.   Not because of the update issue which exists with this unit, but because the on channel one, the writing  "VOLUME, TREBLE, BASS, REVERB, are miss aligned and the bottom part of the words are missing when lit up.
