L1S purchase without B1 or B2

Can you buy just the Model 1s or do you have to buy it with a B1 or B2? I already have 2 B1s and do not want another.

Thanks

Every place I’ve seen it has to have at least a B1, like the Model II does.

you probably want to look at the used market for something like that.

So,if I wanted to sell my old M1 and get an M1s, I have to buy another B1 or a B2? I already have those.

Yooooo Cap!

Why not just call Bose directly and ask?

I got it taken care of. Thanks.

So!
Can you buy the M1s without a B1 or B2?

To All,

For clarification about what is available, please see the

Bose Website.

or

in the US or Canada, please call 1-800-999-2673.

Thank you.

Hi All,

Like the Model II, the Model 1S must be purchased with the B1 or B2. It is not sold without a Bose bass module.

Best,
Craig

I hadn’t considered this when I bought B2’s for my Classics.
I had a vision of eventually getting Model II’s to replace the Classic’s, but I guess that dream has become Model II’s w B2’s a pair of Packlites?? Yowza

It’s my opinion that bose is missing out on some opportunities here.

For example, I own 6 b1’s that now get next to no use. Especially now with the b2’s. If I was going to buy another system, I simply would not need it.

I can understand not advertising it since you DO need a B1 or B2 with these things, but once they’ve established that someone has the B1’s they need, some may decide it’s not worth spending the extra money to upgrade since they are just going to have more unused equipment.

There is a lot of people that have Model 1’s that may be looking to upgrade.

Having 2 Classics and 2 Model II’s, 8 B1’s and two PackLite’s, If I was shopping for a new L1S, I would not need additional bass modules. Having the B2 option means the possibility of even more bass module sales, so more existing owners will have more bass modules sitting around doing nothing.

Buying needed equipment is expensive enough without having to buy unneeded equipment.

This is a policy that needs to be revisited. It would allow those desiring an upgrade to do so in stages, producing more sales over the long haul.

O…
