Matching Sub woofer

Hi

Can Bose recommend a matching Sub woofer to use with S1Pro as the Kick drum requires some more bottom end

I use 2 Berringer 12inch subs once set up properly they sound great with the S-1s I use them to DJ parties with up to 100 people and it sounds full and clean and people dance perfect all genres of music but wouldn’t use them for school dances

how do you run the cables? from S1 to Berringer sub , please clarify ,  it will help me a lot.

Thank you

Sid

@Sid , I recommend a crossover, such as a:

for a mono or a stereo setup:

to input before the subwoofer. The Ampeg BA108 bass amplifier makes a great subwoofer for the Bose S1 Pro, when used with an active crossover:

Ric,

Thank you i will search for SX21

The Berringer has a built in crossover I take the output of my DJ controller into the the subs then the sub out to the right and left speakers you adjust the crossovers on each sub til it sounds matched I have sub poles for each sub and put the speakers on top it make each speaker sound like there 15inch speakers

Which model of Berringer could you be more specific

thanks

Sid

I believe it’s the B1200D

Hi RaviDj,

Looking back over your previous posts, it looks like you have an F1 Subwoofer.  You can use that and it will work well.

Are you using an S1 Pro system in a situation where you have live drums and you need to amplify the kick drum? I've used my S1 Pro in live band settings but in any situation where we'd amplify the kick drum, I would bring a bigger system (L1 Compact or more likely an L1® Model II).

Please tell us more about what you are doing.

Thanks,

ST

Thanks ST

Our application was fairly simple where in I am using the S1 Pro as a stage monitor for the vocals and the drummer as a drum fill. While vocals are great the drummer uses an electronic drum kit with one composite output.

S1 Pro by itself lacks a low end punch however the bass guitar sounded great. Probably sub 70 hz requires a sub woofer.

Probably this should be on my wish list  for Bose to make a S1 Pro Sub. This will be a great addition.

The 812 Sub sounds great with the S1 Pro but is big!! I must ry with the L1 II with B2 module that I have.

Some one suggested the packlite amp with B1/B2 seems to be a good idea.

I am looking at 12" subs but none of them run on batteries!

ST - S1 Pro is surely a great addition to my existing Bose gear
