Hi BOSE Portable Community:
I wanted to offer some great history on how we have used Bose portable PA products for over a decade. It all started when we got our first L1 Model 1 - you know the one everyone called the basketball goal. Well, it was a work horse for us. We rented them out and the only problems we ever had were the cover over the electronics keep getting broke off. We found that it was impossible to damage the speakers and OMG the sound was incredible. Our first exposure to the Tone match philosophy was with the Model 1. We anxiously purchased about 5 of them and used them for several years until the Model II was released and the T1 mixer. This really opened a new world of opportunity for our sound system and letting our customer know that they could place multiple systems behind them on stand and here what the audience was hearing was received with open arms. Even our larger systems we used the Bose L1 Model II for center fill and stage monitors. Great combinations. We also had multiple Model II's and like the Model 1's were almost indestructible.
Then came the L1 Compact - as we got older we needed lighter equipment and this filled in nicely especially if you use a lot of them. We no longer do big show rentals but instead now use multiple L1 Compacts for smaller shows and connect them wireless around in multiple rooms. WE added the custom light bar that slides in the top and added 2 LED's to each compact. Great rental system for smaller parties and use several for bigger parties, add a F1 Sub and the floors shake - customers love it. We still need some powerful speakers so we incorporate the F1 series. We have 3 sets of the subs and tops and 6 L1 compacts all work in tangent perfectly. Still indestructible. The algorithm used by BOSE is awesome in protecting the speakers. We have been BOSE Professional Series owners and users for over a decade and have loved every minute of our ownership. We have had a few failures but, always due to power issues. WE call BOSE - put in box and ship it back. The fix it, update it and send it right back in better condition that they received it and several times BOSE just replaced the item.
We are a very happy BOSE rental business.
Very Sincerely:
Capt Bill Crouch
