NetTek, I’ll send you a private post.

Yeah, there’s some key contextual information missing there. For example, whether there’s any air moving across the surface (which would always be the case in the real world).
I wouldn’t take those numbers as gospel without some provenance. It’s really just to illustrate the point that stuff gets very hot if you leave it out in the sun, and the darker the color the hotter it gets.
I just got an L1 Model 2 and played 4 gigs with it this past weekend. I’ll post my VERY positive comments about this system on another post. For now, I wanted to mention that during the last 2 gigs, ALL of the bass dropped out (both bass modules; I have 2). I then plug only 1 in and it works, then a while later the other one can be plugged in and it works. The 2nd gig, I wasn’t pushing it very hard and it still did it. Is this common? It is certainly an inconvenience. Do I have a warranty issue here?
I have read here of people having loose connections in their B1 cords. You might give that a look.

I got the Model II’s and the first thing I did was take them to an all day event in June in Texas. I had the DJ use them as he filled the area with music between bands.
During that day they endured both bright/hot sunshine and almost an hour of rain. 2 Model IIs, 2 Packlites, and 8 B1 Bass Modules…not one dropout or problem.
That’s not to say that things may shift during transit. Talk to our folks at 800-335-2673…they can help diagnose what’s going on and offer solutions. Our customer service folks are pretty good.
If the problem is with the blue B1 cables (and that's my guess as most likely), then you can either check them yourself or call Tech Support and ask them to work with you. It's really not hard; all you need is a screwdriver (the tool, of course... )quote:Originally posted by djazz:

The bass dropping out is not common ... but not unknown. Open up and check the blue cables. It's been by far the most reported cause of this kind of "bass drop out".quote:... Is this common? It is certainly an inconvenience...

There are pictures of the insides of the B1 connectors and cables here:
Check the Cables.
I would call support for the warranty question.

I had an issue with my L1 Model 2 not giving me audio due to what I believe was overheating, on an outdoor gig. I tested the unit the evening before the gig, it worked fine. I transported it the next day to the gig in my mini van, set up, and I had no audio. Ts1 and all lights were on, output indicators showed signal, but ...no audio. I canceled my gig, brought the unit home, set it up, and it worked fine. My questions are 1. How do you determine if overheating is the cause of the lack of audio? and 2. What is the best / fastest way to get the unit cooled down, reset and operational again? Thanks in advance.
Hi MrLuthor,
Welcome to the forum!
It's difficult to say for certain whether this was caused by overheating, as it's possible this could have been a power issue.
Were any parts of the system noticeably warm? The power transformer, located within the component or power supply, will be warm after being plugged it for a few minutes, but at no stage should any parts of the system be too hot to touch.
