I just wasted an hour with a flashlight & a bad back, determined to figure out why in the heck I couldn’t figure out how to attach the bracket that came with the T1 to the L1 Compact. I AM TICKED! The T1 says its compatible with the L1 Compact on one screen (so I BOUGHT one) & then on another screen (in tiny print), it says bracket not compatible with L1 Compact! So, yes, they’re compatible, but no, they’re not compatible, kinda sorta. I’ve waited years to finally get an L1. I had been touting the merits of easy setup to my husband, all nite, while setting up the new, exciting Bose stuff… I’m glad he fell asleep before I could ask him to help me figure the stupid NOT COMPATIBLE bracket. WHY would you include a bracket that doesn’t work? WHY wouldn’t you replace it with a microphone bracket on L1 Compact purchases IF Bose cannot figure out how to do a bracket on the L1 itself??? I looked through all the literature, just KNOWING Bose would have a 24 hr Help Line… Well, now after the pedestal I’ve had Bose on for years is beginning to get a bit tarnished… Could it be that we’re NOT COMPATIBLE???

Sorry for the situation. I can tell how frustrating this is.
I wish it was a lot more clear the optional T1 power supply is necessary for the T1 to work with the L1 Compact and the included T1 bracket works with the optional mic stand bracket only when used with a Compact.
I’ll do my best to answer your questions here:
The T1 includes the bracket for compatibility with the optional mic stand bracket and for the other L1 systems including L1 Classic, Model I, Model 1S, and Model II.
The T1 predates the L1 Compact by years. It’s been sold this way (with the mic stand bracket and power supply being optional) from the beginning when the L1 Compact didn’t yet exist.
The Compact is the most affordable and light weight L1 offered. One tradeoff being light weight extensions which engineering decided cannot support the weight of the T1.
Bose L1 support is available at 877-335-2673 M-F 8:30AM – 9:00PM, and Saturday 9:00AM – 5:00PM Eastern time.
