Back in 2010 I bought one and broke it on the first use-- the plastic nub that the clamp grabbed on to. I thought I later read that Bose strengthened them. So I bought one a couple weeks ago. Six uses in, the pin broke (like a watch strap pin). Was fitted perfectly to my mic stand -, too. Just barely snug... Should I try again. A phenomenally terrible design
Hi Tom,
I'm sorry that microphone stand adapter broke. Please call Bose Support on Monday and see if they can help.

As an aside, I leave my microphone stand adapter attached to the microphone stand. I don't attach and remove them at every gig. Mine have been fine like this for years.

Thanks for your input Tom, I just purchased a T1 mic stand bracket from the Guitar Center and the tech assured me the plastic bracket would hold the T1. I looked at the Sweetwater T1 mic stand bracket comments and many experienced musicians are commenting on the "poor design". I'll hold my comments until I start using it at gigs.
My L1 Model 2 has been in my studio for years and the bracket that attaches to the L1 speaker has not been an issue, as the studio is a controlled environment. However I've always felt there should have been a thumb screw attaching the bracket to the bottom of the T1, to have a positive attachment method. The mic stand bracket would also be more secure with this method (if modified on new T1 units).
Hi David,
Thank you for joining the Community.
I have all my cables strapped to the microphone stand so that T1® is secure.

Wow, the Bose community is 'on the ball.' Thank you Tom! I feel much better about how to properly install the bracket, T1 and cables to the mic stand. I also sent a note to both the Guitar Center and Sweetwater asking them to make a link to these installation instructions. Thank you.
PS, I guess I don't have to tell anyone here how stellar my Bose L1 Model 2 system sounds.
