For an upcoming event, I need to “deliver” audio into four separate spaces inside what I can only term a mansion (a very large, 100-year-old antebellum home).
I am hopeful that I can utilize three(3) Line6 XD-V75 receivers/body pack transmitters to accomplish this. I have used one of these many times in the past to send audio into a second “zone”. I have always used the Master Output for this and it has worked flawlessly.
My problem now is that I am not certain how to output to two “more” units (a total of three secondary units) from the T1 (or if it will even be possible).
I have one L1 Model II, two L1 Compacts and an Acoustic Wave Music System.
The L1 Model II will be connected to the T1 via the ToneMatch port to provide audio to the main Ballroom.
There are two “Bar” spaces (rooms) that are each in need of audio of equal volume and quality. One of the L1 Compacts can easily be connected via the “Master” output on the T1 (to one of the body pack transmitters)to accomplish this in one Bar space (room 1).
Here’s where I am uncertain as to what to do next.
The second L1 Compact can be placed in the second Bar space (room 2) but where will I connect the body pack on the T1 to provide audio to this L1 Compact? When I connect it to the AUX output (the 1/4" jack that is located next to the Master Output jack)), I get no audio from that Compact. I believe that it might simply be an “address” issue. HELP!
Of course the last space will contain the Acoustic Wave Music System but it is a small space on a second story balcony (no more than 20 feet by 15 feet) so that Wave system will be more than adequate. However, the same problem exists for me to know where to connect the body pack transmitter on the T1 (and how to “address” the T1 to use it).
Any Suggestions? Will this actually be possible?
Thanks, in advance, for any help the “Greater Minds” who frequent this site may be able to give me.
You should get a Mono splitter for the Aux output so you can output multiple devices on the T1. You then have to turn your Aux setting to post and adjust each channel’s aux volume to your liking. Each channel has control when using POST Volume on the Aux.

Just in case… I am connected to the T1 via the USB Out from my MacBook Pro to the USB input on the T1.
Hi InvisibleDJ,
I’ve done something similar, basically using wireless transmitter/receivers to daisy-chain multiple systems.
Here’s one approach
T1® ToneMatch output to Model II Power Stand as normal. Cable not shown.
T1® Master output to wireless transmitter
Wireless Receiver to Compact Channel 2
Compact Line Out to wireless transmitter
Wireless receiver to second Compact Channel 2
Compact Line Out to wireless transmitter
Wireless receiver to Acoustic Wave Music System
If everything is in range, this is probably the easiest approach.
More coming.
Here’s another way to do it.
T1® ToneMatch output to Model II Power Stand as normal. Cable not shown.
T1® Master output to wireless transmitter
Wireless Receiver to Compact Channel 2
T1® Aux Out to wireless transmitter
Wireless receiver to second Compact Channel 2
Compact Line Out to wireless transmitter
Wireless receiver to Acoustic Wave Music System
This is not necessarily better, It’s just different and it’s more complicated because you have set up the T1® so that there is sound at the Aux Output. If you know what you’re doing, it’s probably under a minute to do it.
- To get sound out of the Aux output on the T1® you will have to route the USB from PC to Channel 4/5. Notes here:
- Then you will have to go to Channel 4/5 and set the Aux Tap to Post. Notes here: T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine Aux Output

For your application it probably won’t matter, but there is No Reverb on Aux.
I would go with the first option unless you pick up objectional line noise.
Here’s a very slight variation on the idea immediately above.
Of all of these, I would try the first one. It’s the easiest to set up because you don’t have to do anything with Aux.
If you pick up line noise, try the second or third.
Does that help?

jaswrx… Thanks for the quick response! I’ll look into the mono splitter. Do you have a model that you have had success with?
ST… As always, your detail makes helping this forum’s members extremely simple and easy. I am especially impressed that you include such detailed diagrams. For “visual” learners (idiots like me) it made perfect sense of what I was not understanding from studying the ToneMatch Operator’s Manual.
I have “played around” with each of the potential solutions that you proposed and have had complete success.
To others who may read this, the Line6 XD-V series transmitters/Receivers have been FLAWLESS in providing as much as 300 feet of crisp, clear, wireless connection. With 14 channels, there is also a good deal of upside to use these for microphones and/or as wireless extenders for equipment that must go into different areas of an event facility. They have worked equally well in "multiple floor (upstairs/downstairs) requirements.
As you might have guessed, this bride is spending a great deal on having a very lavish wedding (right at $100K, ouch!) and I have no doubt that I will now have complete success giving her 450-500 guests a great time, no matter where they roam throughout the facility.
Cheers!
I used the one from Hosa. You can get them anywhere. Just a 1ft cable.
I personally like the method from the AUX a lot more than the other ways posted, since you have better and precise control
Hi jaswrx,
If you use a splitter you reduce the signal strength. If you get the wrong kind of splitter, you will end up with your signals 180° out of phase.
In this situation how does using Aux gives you “better and precise control”. It seems unlikely that he will need a different mix going to the remote units?
InvisibleDJ has told us that he has previously used the Master output for a remote and that worked for him.
Daisy chaining the units as I showed here is just an extension of that concept.
ST
That is true, it does reduce the signal a little, and you have to make sure to get a mono adapter, BUT the control is great, and the loss of signal is not an issue (use makeup by adjusting the transmitter signal or receiver or compact trims.
Here is why I believe it is better for control:
I usually have the Mic inputs hotter that the background music (laptop) and DJ Mixer (input) at another volume.
They are all set differently for the remote areas as I don’t want to blast DJ music in the separate areas, but the mics need to be nice and hot so announcements are heard the clearest.
One thing I totally forgot to mention is that I don’t really use the secondary splitter except for videographers.

This is how I do it, and I do this every other gig…
If you have a wireless transmitter set it to a certain frequency, than you can set ALL your receivers to be the same frequency, so that one transmitter (from the Aux output on the T1 transmit to multiple wireless receivers.
Think of it like a TV station/channel. They have one big transmitter, and all of us tune into the same channel/station/frequency.
Let me know if that makes sense. You don’t need an adapter like I suggested, but I like it for the video guys
