T4S ToneMatch Mixer update - not working

I just got my T4S today and tried to install the T4S update on a Mac Sierra. In the begging my MAC would not want to open the app saying it was not an app from the app store. To fix this I had to go to my privacy settings and I finally managed to open the L1 UPDATE for MAC OSX (v1.3). I downloaded the T4 S Update ( V1.1.4) , placed them in the same folder! My Bose T4S Mixer is version V1.0.1. When I click to Update the T4S mixer I get a pop up saying " The selected file is not compatible. Please select a compatible file" and I cannot move past that. Another crazy thing, when I go into my mixer, it says the the BOSE L1 System is not connected, even though I was able to play music from my computer on this BOSE L1 speaker... Not sure what's going on. But definitely BOSE Systems are not MAC friendly...

When I first turned the mixer on the reverb and delay were on and they were going CRAZY. I had to turn down the delay to 0 to be able to hear my self properly. I wasn't too impressed with the reverb, hopefully with the update I'll get a better reverb sound, but I simply cannot make this update? What do you suggest?

I also found an update in this community for the T4S saying it was the latest and I downloaded that too. You can see it in the print screen I attached.

How can I fix this?

Thanks

Hi korynamusic,

Welcome to the Bose Portable PA Community and congratulations on getting your T4S.

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble updating your T4S with firmware version 1.1.4

It's sounds like you have the right files in the right place (the same folder).

Please check out this video - Skip ahead to 3:40

When the L1 Updater software is running, you should be able to click Update.

Then you should be able to pick this file.

Are things working now?

Hi. I already saw this video and tried what you suggested but I cannot open the T4_Update-master v1.1.4.bos When I click to Update the T4 _ Update -master v1.1.4.bos I get a pop up saying " The selected file is not compatible. Please select a compatible file" and I cannot move past that...

Hi korynamusic.

What firmware version do you have now?

Turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs.

Turn the left-most button (Menu) until you see Versions.

Press the same button to select.

What version do you have?

Thanks,

ST

I have the version V1.0.1

I am using macOS Sierra,

Memory 8 GB

Processor 2 GHZ, Intel Core i5

Hi korynamusic,

Let's try this.

Delete the T4_Update-master-v1.1.4-25adfea.bos file from your computer.

Please download the *.bos file again and move it into the same folder as the L1 Updater tool app.

T4_Update-master-v1.1.4-25adfea.bos  <== you might have to right click this link and choose a save or download option

Then give this one more try. If you still get the message that the file is incompatible, please call Bose Support tomorrow.

No, this did not work either. I will contact Bose over the phone tomorrow. Thank you for you help.

Hi korynamusic,

I'm sorry we couldn't get you going here. Please come back and tell us how it goes with Bose Support.

Thanks,

I am curious to know what BOSE TS said regarding your issue, as I am getting ready to update my T4S, too.

I just called BOSE and the Customer Service person checked with a tech and they said that the current (November 2018) firmware v 1.1.4 WILL WORK with Mac OSX 10.13 and there are no known issues.

I just updated my T4S from 1.0.1 to 1.1.4 on MAC OSX 10.13.6 with no problem completing the update.

Gonna run it through and see how it works tonight. 😃

Thanks for the update Karl!

Hi korynamusic,

Let's try one more thing. Please do a factory reset on your T4S <= link

Then try the update process again.

Thanks,
