Time Saving Tips

Nice ST.

Do you find that keeping your XLR cables attached to mic stands adds any wear and tear in the cables? I keep mine neatly rolled up, but have been using the Xvive U3 systems to reduce need for cables. I still have them as backups.

MAJOR time saving tool when I have to carry more than a couple of XLR cables:

Bayco 16 ft. L Plastic Cord Reel - $13.99 - that will hold at least 8-10  20' XLR-XLR cables.  The come off the reel without kinks and are rapidly re-wound at the end of the gig by connecting them male to female as one long cord on the reel.

I also use the $9 reels without stand and handle for carrying a pair of 50' A/C extension cords and/or 8-10 XLR cables in a smaller (Mazda Miata Friendly) package.

The XLR cable attached to the microphone stand. It's just long enough to reach from the ToneMatch mixer (mounted on the microphone stand) to the microphone at the end of the boom arm attached to the same stand. I think it's about 30 inches.
