Two tone match units into a single L1 Compact?

I’m asking the forum because I don’t have the Compact with me to try this experiment.

I know this is not ideal - but for a practice situation can I run a Tonematch unit into each channel of the Compact?

I do it all the time for the instrument channel but I’ve never tried it into the mic channel.

I do have the cable XLR to 1/4" jack and enough T1s and power supplies. I need this setup just to get two singers amplified and I already have bass, keyboards and guitars filling up one T1 into Compact channel 2.

I wouldn’t perform like this but we are only rehearsing in a tiny space.

Hi valvenerd,

You can do it, and you won’t harm anything. You may find that the second T1® sounds funny.

If you have enough Channels in total, you could run the second T1® into the first T1® - Channel 4 or 5.

OR

You could get an 1/4" to RCA cable and connect the second T1® to the Compact RCA inputs - probably just one or the other. I’ve had good result with the white RCA input.
