Requesting someone to kindly clarify which cable should I choose for the A20 aviation head set (new buy) if I am using it on the Boeing 737 & Airbus A320 aircrafts .. Thank you !
Hi Sumanta,
Best to check when you next fly to see which one's are on both Aircraft and if they are the same. May sound like a silly reply, but as they are most likely to be an XLR Connector, it may have 5 or 7 pins, so best to check. Maybe take a photo for reference later?
The A20 takes power from the Aircraft so that it doesn't eat batteries in normal use. If power goes off, it reverts to Battery Power for info.
The A20 comes with many different Microphone Downleads, from the 2 x Phone Jacks for General Aviation, through specialist connectors for different Helicopter types and Fixed Wing Aircraft, including different Mic Impedances.
Quite a few Pilot Supply Websites in the 'States that are Bose Suppliers have better descriptions and drop down menu's explaining the different Mic and Connector A20 uses which you may find helpful?
The XLR series of connectors originated, or are widely used as Entertainment system preferred connectors, so it is easy to become confused when doing research on them. If in doubt, try to drop a line to Bose Technical Support to see if they can give accurate sales details?
All the best and good luck,
Larry
Thank You Larry ! I'll do as you suggested & take advise from the technical support team as well 🙂
