Alexa TV commands

When I use the "Alexa, Turn on TV" command, it works fine. When I use the "Alexa, Turn off TV" command, nothing happens. In order for me to get Alexa to turn off my TV, I have to use the "Alexa, Turn on TV" command again. I know that this is not normal. Not sure what other troubleshooting I can do.

Hey Tim007,

Thank you for your post and welcome!

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with Alexa. I'll be more than happy to help!

Have you tried completely removing Alexa and re-adding it? You can do this in the Bose Music app under 'Voice Assistant'.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Yes, I have tried that. No luck. It's weird.

. This is very strange indeed. Just to confirm, when the TV is on, and you say 'Alexa turn on TV' it turns off? If so, do you have any other Alexa devices in the house and do they behave the same?

Yes Vicky, when the TV is on and I say 'Alexa, turn on TV' it turns off.

The Bose speaker is the only device that I am using for the TV. I have a echo dot, but it's in another room and does not use the Alexa wake word.
