Apple iPad and Bluetooth

Hi,

I use the T1 ToneMatch for my S1 Pro and my L1 1S Model. I run my iPad Air into Ti for my backing tracks and use the headphone socket from the iPad into the T1.

I know I can bypass the T1 with the S1 Pro going straight from the iPad with bluetooth if required but yesterday the headphone socket on the iPad has now developed a fault with use. Is there any way I could use bluetooth with my L1 1S Model. Obviously the iPad phono socket gets a lot of use pulling the cable in and out.

Any suggestions for alternatives would be appreciated,

Thanks Tony Parnham

Hey Tony!

Thanks for your post. Neither the L1 model 1S nor the T1 ToneMatch have built-in Bluetooth capability.

It would be possible to use a Bluetooth audio receiver as part of the setup. You could connect the iPad over Bluetooth to the receiver, then connect the receiver's audio output to the input channels on the T1 mixer. Bose's SoundTouch Wireless Link adapter would be suitable for this application, though third party Bluetooth audio receivers can also be used.

One thing to be wary of, however - a setup using Bluetooth for audio in a live environment is more prone to audio dropouts, due to the possibility of wireless interference.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Dylan, that could be promising.
