Apple Music Lossless via DAC to Frames Alto

For medical reasons I can neither use headphones nor in-ears. But I really love my Bose Frames (Alto). If I connect my iPhone SE (2020) via Lightning -> USB adapter to something like a Dragonfly portable DAC plus connect a portable BT Transmitter to the DACs 3.5mm output, will I receive the recent Apple Music lossless (and higher) quality on my Frames? What do I have to be aware of in terms of BT compatibility?

Hello Hendrik,

Thanks for posting.

There's a term "you're only as strong as your weakest link". The same rings true for an audio setup like this. It is unlikely the transmitter is able to provide the bitrate high enough for you to get the most out of lossless audio. Please don't quote me on that, however, it'd be wise to check the user manual and with the OEM to be sure of it's capabilities and limitations but from first glance, what you'd be doing will have no benefit over just pairing the Frames directly to the iPhone via Bluetooth.

I hope this helps!
