I wish I had seen this earlier. Is it really too late for input? It 's not fair to ask such important questions and give us such limited time to reply. Some of us don’t come to the forum as offen as others.

You are still free to share your input with everyone. People from Bose do read these forums, and is something they haven't considered and it makes commercial sense, I'm guessing they'll still take notice. You may also spark an idea from someone else.
Cap was merely being kind in gathering input from other DJs to present to Bose. I think it's more than fair. I think it was extremely thoughtful.
While I'm sure they appreciate our input, they also realize that the people that visit the forums represent a very small % of users. Any company needs to ensure that the product will have wide appeal and commercial success, and not just fit the whims of a few that come to the forum
Bose already has the technology, I would just like to see it married differently.
1) The two section L1 mod 2 in 4 sections rather than 2. would make it easier to transport;
2) Have dummy sections of the L1, so if you needed less sound, you could use two dummy sections on the bottom and two regular sections on the top (sort of make your own compact system when needed)
3) a powered bose 502BP that could be layed on it’s side and then the L1 could plug right into it. That would be AWESOME. The 502 rocks as a base cabinet, and would raise the L1 by one foot.
4) make this powered 502 lighter. Add casters to it so tht the whole system can be rolled in without the need for a dolly.
5)The B1 outer material just gets beat up too easily. My 14 year old 502BP still looks new.
