To be honest, how I have it makes no difference to how others set it up.
Different households will have different settings due to walls, furnishings etc. It also depends on how you hear the sound, as it will be different from how I hear sound. So even if we have the same settings it will sound different to me.
I purchased on 7th Aug 2020
My Settings are
Audio Normal
Audio Track Both
Surround 9
Treble 4
Bass 6
Center 5
Not sure if this is the right settings.......any Suggestions
First things first, set all 4 settings to 0, rerun adaptiq, listen to a familiar sound track from either a blue Ray or games console, only slight alternations to the settings is required after adaptiq is run, depending on taste.
With home theatre speakers, the top tip is all speakers, should be running at the same db for a full audio emersion. Adaptiq is the automated service to provide this. Also switch between normal and direct to see which sounds better for you.
Alternatively, you can opt for manual calibration, you will need a 5.1 sound source found either on the Internet, or tv audio calibration disc, a sound meter which I use an app from play store for my phone, and patients 😀, once you have these items, turn off Adaptiq, select direct audio, and calibrate, I find pink noise is my best for audio calibration.
You more than welcome to try my settings for a reference point, but remember, most rooms are different, with speakers placed at different lengths. Try below with Adaptiq turned off.
Treble 1
Bass -2
Surround -4
Center 0
Hope this helps
Regards
You should use the settings that sound best to you in your setup. It makes zero difference what someone else is using.
Thank you Squadie I will try ........
Is it possible to share the name of the app you are using from the play store?
Thanks
In play store type sound meter, it comes as the main entry for UK location, different regions may differ, be sure to calibrate on direct sound mode, all other modes like normal, enhance and night mode uses Bose DSPs to alter sound, start with all audio settings at zero i.e Bass, Treble, centre and surround, obviously if centre speaker is higher than front left / right, take the centre speaker to minus db in your settings, Im afraid there's no way digital, to alter individual stereo or surround speakers unless you move their location, all home theatre enthusiasts recommends, all speakers set to the same db level for best performance, from the listening position.
I'll help as you go along the best way I can.
All the best
How big/small is your room ?? And how do you have your rear surround speakers set up ? Are they mounted on the wall/ceiling/ or stands ??
