Out of nowhere last week the bass bin of my L1 has begun to buzz loudly, can you inform me of any possible fixes... can't afford another!
to clarify, the buzz/hum is there when the unit is plugged into an isolated source, on it's own or with a multi socket adaptor with other units.

Does the buzz happen when there is nothing connected to the L1?
If not, then connect components one at a time until the buzz returns. Then see: Ground Loop
Does the buzz happen in different locations? (Different buildings?)
If not, then you may have an issue with line noise in the location where this is happening. Please see: Line Noise
Please tell us more about the buzz. Can you describe or record it?
Thanks,
ST
happens when bass bin is connected with or without tone match connection but no buzz from column -will record and attach asap
Hi, Pete.
Is the L1 Model II Power Stand Analog Input turned all the way off - counter-clockwise?
ST
The buzz happens wherever it's plugged in... no matter whether input is off or all the way up... find attached audio...
Hi, Pete.
Thanks for the recording. It sounds like your L1 Model II will have to be serviced.

Thanks for that.. however this option is financially out of the question... may be more cost effective to buy new!!! I'll have to replace it with something more within my financial remit. Thank you for your assistance
Hi Pete,
I checked with Bose Support in the UK.
First, if the unit is under two years old, it should still be in warranty.
Even if it is out of warranty, they can service your L1 Model II power stand for a fixed fee and that comes with a one-year warranty. I hope that would be less expensive than replacing the unit with something else.
I hope that helps.
