Hello all, I require some expert opinions on my below scenario
I have a Bose L1 compact PA. I use this for local concerts (80% Vocal along with 20% Percussion Instruments. NO Guitars). I am in need of a 16 Channel digital mixer since my L1 compact PA has feasibility to connect only 2 Mic. I am aware that Bose offers maxim 8 channel mixer.
Can someone suggest the best 16 channel digital mixer to be used with my Bose L1 compact.? - I checked that QSC, Presonus and Mackie are quiet famous brands. Pls help me with the best one that fits for L1 compact
Any of the name brands you mention offer quality mixers, as well as others. I wouldn't want to go out on a limb and say one is "best".
The bigger question is how are you planning to ustilize those 16 channels?
The idea that 80% of your program material is vocal, suggests multiple vocal mics.
The Compact is a relatively small PA system and mutiple mics create multiple paths for feedback to enter the system. The more mics the more likely feedback, resulting in turning down the system to try and control the feedback.
Please describe in some detail how you plan to use the system. How many mics, instruments, how you set up on stage, etc.

We plan to use about 7-8 mics. 2 instruments, 6 vocal. The mic will be in stage while the PA system will be facing the audience. It is a house setup with a big hall and about 50 participants
That many open mics is problematic. If the Compact is in front of the mics you might be OK. If the Compact is behind the performers and their mics, it will be near impossible to get any volume. O…
