Blown away today! Yay for my S1

I did a short set at an office event today. The room was (my guess) 60' by 25 or 30'. I was positioned against one long wall.

I took my S1, T8S, Shure Beta 58A and Takamine 12-string acoustic. The audience stood around me - perhaps 100 people. S1 on a stand at head height. (Maybe it's my hearing loss, but I really prefer the sound from my S1 when it's on a stand.)

The S1 was simply brilliant! On the T8S, I had the master volume at 9 o'clock and on the S1 I had the volume at 10 o'clock. The sound was crystal clear and carried easily across the room. Effortless.

So very pleased with the S1.

Glad to hear it went so well. The S1 has been a real game changer. Just look at all the competitors who are coming out with small, lightweight personal PAs. Bose is still the best sound. We are so lucky to have these sort of PAs around now.

I put my S1 at head level on top of a pole mounted in a 10" active Rockville sub. I play my 6 & 12-string through a TC PlayAcoustic and TC chorus pedal, and use an Audix OM5 mic. This combo has proven to be outstanding for small venues. I toss it all in a collapsible wagon, and off I go! Nothing but compliments!!

My setup for this performance ...
