Bose 802 Series 1 connections/amplifier/equaliser in Professional Installed

Hi All,

I have a pair of 802s and I also have the 802 E Active Equaliser and I want to connect them to be able to play music at home from a computer and a guitar.

I have a Yamaha RXV-420 AV Receiver that is connected to an iMac

Not sure if I need a mixer in the equation but looking for recommendations on what I would need.

Cheers, Frank

Hi Frank,

You'll find that a small inexpensive mixer will serve you well in this regard. An AV receiver is not really equipped to deal with the signals you are trying to mix. This way you can place the EQ between the output of the mixer and an input of the receiver. However, you'll probably need some adapters to go from balanced 1/4" plugs to unbalanced RCA plugs.

The ideal solution would be to get an inexpensive 2 channel amplifier, 200W per channel, which will feature the correct input plugs.

Hi frank, puoi collegare il tuo bose ma devi fare attenzione tutto il bose va dopo il ampli prima un mixer lo devi avere per poter collegare la voce e la chitarra sempre tramite D.Ibox CHIARAMENTE
