Bose Connect App and Apple Music Service

Hey Everyone,

We wanted to make you aware of a change that will be happening to older versions of the Bose Connect App version 12.0.1 and below. In a previous post back in October here, we announced that we were removing the ‘music tab’. This is still true with all versions of the app after version 13.0. However, we understand that there may be some customers who didn’t update and may have an older version of the app in order to continue to use the music tab, hence this post.

In the coming days, the Apple Music service under the music tab on all app versions older than 12.0.1 will no longer be available. If you have one of these versions, you will get the message seen in the video below when trying to use Apple Music. Even though the message says, ‘try again’, trying again will not enable the service. The service will be discontinued. We apologize for this inconvenience.

As a reminder, you can still continue to enjoy and play Apple Music with your headphones or speaker. To do so, use the Apple Music app directly on your device.
