Can you get percentage display for battery status on Bose S1?
I could only see circle on bottom right corner with green part representing how much battery is charged.
You should be able to see the percentage in the Bose Connect app. If the S1 Pro is charging, the percentage does not show. Once, you unplug it, you should see the percentage of the charge. I have attached a screenshot of the app on my iPhone. From other discussions, I would assume it is the same for the Android version of the app.

Does it mean I need to disconnect S1 from power to be able to see percentage (I'm not at home right now to test it)?

I'm not ST but yes you do have to disconnect the S1 Pro from power to be able to see the percentage.
Yes, just unplug it as it shows a 'charging' symbol when plugged in. It will only display battery level when on battery power.
