Bose DS40se amplifier help

Hello everyone. I am trying to understand which amplifier power will be best for my new Bose speakers. I will putting 4 of these speakers up in the corners of a 6 metre X 6 metre room at high level and will be mainly used for music. I want to use the speakers in 8 ohm setting (not 70v/100v) as I believe this gives the best performance at smaller distance cable wise.

My question is, what power amplifier will I require to get the absolute best performance from these speakers, and how shall I wire them. They state they are 40watts (160w peak) each. Shall I wire all seperate from the amp? Or join 2. 2x 80w amp?? I'm very confused by it all and would love some help. Also do I look for an 8 ohm amp or 4 ohm

Hi,

I would normally recommend an IZA-2120-LZ. This would be for 2 output channels at 4-8 ohm. 120W per output. So you can do 2 parallel connections per output. The only thing there is that the new IZA-2120 amplifiers are switch to a new set of EQs. These do not include DS40. They do include FreeSpace FS4CE/SE, which is very close to the same curve. Otherwise you'll want to use a flat EQ.

The other option would be PowerShare PS404A. This is 4 channels at 100W per channel. More than the power you need, but will also do low impedance (4-8 ohm) or high impedance. (70v/100v).
