Hi Guys!
My question is:
Can I use my two Bose L1 Compact with new Bose L1 Pro Sub1/2?
Get I something wrong with these?
Thanks your answear!

Hello gulyu933,
Yes you could, and safely. The design of the Sub1 and Sub2 connections lend themselves to this application.. Simply connect a TRS cable from each L1 Compact's 1/4" out on the rear of the unit, to one of the two Line Inputs on the Sub1 or Sub2. There is a button on the rear to adjust the Line Input's EQ from a generic low-pass filter to one tuned for an L1 Pro. Which one should you use for a Compact? Let your ear be the guide.
The signal coming in to each input is controlled from each L1 Compact. Be sure the level light is flashing green to indicate a robust signal. If it flashes red (clipping or limiting), reduce the sub's level and/or the Compact's volume.
Volume? Yes, you'll get a bass boost. What about the overall sound? Your guess is as good as mine, since the only EQ adjustment is the LPF button. You'll have to experiment for the best balance and EQ settings at the sources (the L1 Compacts.) Also, you may experience some weird interaction (comb filtering or cancellation) with the Compact's internal 8" woofers, since they're always on (crossover around 400 Hz.) Room acoustics and spacing may affect your sound as well. You could experiment with external crossovers to further limit the frequencies going to the external sub, but that adds a whole new level of complexity and cost.
The L1 Compacts were designed to be what they are, vs. systems designed for bass expansion. I understand your desire to leverage your existing investment. Hopefully, someone on the forum has tried this and can share their knowledge.
Does that help?
Yes, it does! Thanks your answear!
I'm waiting other's experiences.
