Would like to get so advised on a bose l1s that I have just brought. I am a solo guitarist/vocals with tracks. This is not my First bose system, I had two l1 model 2 about 9 years ago and stupidly sold them because I wanted to run in stereo and found I was talking two into every gig and it worked out I was carrying loads. So I have gone this time for the 1s with 2x b1 and a t8s.
My question is that last time I used just 1 system I felt very unbalanced as I am use to a left and right speakers, I am thinking of running a compact or s1 to balance my on stage sound and was wondering if anyone has tried this and what one would work better. I am leaning towards the s1 and just running it as a monitor. Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks for the background information.

If you place the L1 Model 1S behind you as perform, with 5 to 8 feet, the sound should sound balanced on both sides.
I am thinking of running a compact or s1 to balance my on stage sound
If you run stereo with
one side (e.g., left) going to the L1 Model 1S and
the other side (e.g., right) going to an L1 Compact or S1 Pro
It might sound balanced to you on stage, but the audience will hear the L1 Model 1S better than the L1 Compact or S1 Pro.
and was wondering if anyone has tried this and what one would work better.
At lower volumes for smaller audiences, facing the audience
the L1 Compact will give you performance similar to the L1 Model 1S
the S1 Pro will give you performance less similar to the L1 Model 1S
I am leaning towards the s1 and just running it as a monitor.
If you run the S1 Pro as a monitor - this suggests a mono setup. If you are playing loud with L1 Model 1S behind you, you might not hear much from the S1 Pro.
Thank you for the quick reply. I should have mentioned that 90% of the gigs i do are on stages that are only designed for solo and duos and only about 4ft deep so i have to run the speaker at the side of me.
If I am running in mono with the L1s to the right side (using this as the main pa) would it work just using the S1 on the left side just for my own sound so i can here in my left and right ear and could i run the S1 from the headphones out so i have control over the volume.

Okay - that puts things in a different light.
