Bose NC 700 - Auto-Pause

Hi everyone, I've got a simple question that hopefully someone can answer fully.

 

Do the NC 700 headphones have Auto-Pause (of music or video) when you take them off? Many (cheaper) in-ear and around ear alternatives do, but I don't see any of the reviewers mentioning it, and I haven't been able to find an answer on this forum yet, so I'd just like a definitive answer on the availability of this feature please.

This functionality is not available in these headphones for now and I do not know if they have the proper hardware inside -a motion sensor- so that the development team can develop this feature in the near future. The best is to open a Feature Request post in this forum asking if this feature is possible to implement so they know our feedback as end users.

 

I would really appreciate this functionality because currently it's very annoying that the track continues playing when I take my headphones off my head. So I hope that Bose can implement the Auto-Pause depending on whether I take the headphones off or on.

, you are correct, this isn't a feature that is currently available with the headphones. 

 

I will pass your feedback along to our development team, as I'm sure it is something more users may be interested in as well.

 

The NC700 headphones do have motion detectors in them, which is used for Bose AR, and an auto-off timer at the moment. As such this may be something we are working on already, or at least be something we can add going forward.

I made an account to say please push for this! Such a huge feature that's lacking on the nc700s, really sad to hear how much better people who have other headphones enjoy them pausing when you pop them around your neck. I have so much faffing about with trying to pause and then when it's around my neck sometimes it will touch on me and start playing around my neck out loud. I basically have to have them off when they're in my neck, which is really frustrating. Other than that, ever single person in my family has QC35 II and myself with NV700s, absolutely money well spent. I've not enjoyed music this much in many years.

I have the same issue and is very shameful when you're in a meeting with your headset on your neck and Cee lo Green starts singing ...

I also would love Bose to push this feature out to these headphones. I am a bit of a headphone junkie... and have 12 different sets. I love my Bose N-700, but the auto pause feature found on the Surface Headphones and the B&W PX series is an awesome feature to have in a top tier set of cans.

Do you know if this feature is in the oven right now? it would be so cool... I know you are very busy with the fixes of the 1.4.12 firmware but I think the community will be happier if you include some features like this on the next firmware update. Thanks for your work.

 I would also really appreciate an answer on this, having the feature of auto-pause on the 700 is something many of us customers would appreciate, and it shouldn’t be that hard to implement.
