Bose NC 700 Firmware update Issue

Hello,

I just received my second replacement for my Bose Noise Cancelling 700 Headphone as its under warranty, I have returned my previous headphones as they got issues with Battery charging and audio issues. Now when I tried to update the firmware on the latest it says product is up to date and the firmware version as 1.3.1. It appears like there is a firmware update happened as soon as i activated the product and the update has taken down the firmware version from 1.4.X to 1.3.1. I was expecting it will take to the latest 1.5.X update. Can someone suggest me if I am on current and latest firmware for Bose NC700 headphones or if I have to do any tricks to get my product updated to the latest available firmware.

Hey ,

I can imagine things have been quite frustrating in the sense of trying to update your product. As stated in the "Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.4.12 - May 12th 2020 ***UPDATED JULY 30, 2020***" thread, there was a pause made to the 1.14.12 firmware due to a small minority of users encountering issues. We simply took this step to ensure we could look over the firmware and ensure we're releasing the absolute best for our users.

Please keep up to date with the thread to read into more about where things go from here and the status of future firmware updates.

Did you receive the stock firmware as 1.3.1.. I bought NC 700 a few days back. It was at 1.2.1 and got updated to 1.3.1. I hope Bose really provides further updates to include the EQ settings for all owners and not just the ones who could update to 1.4.. and up. I can understand the nightmare faced by so many owners who were into those versions.

As far as I remember I got the headphones with 1.4..and after the update it's downgraded to 1.3.1
