Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce
I am able to connect to the Headphones via Bluetooth. But when I speak the microphone catches all sort of surrounding noise and it is totally unpleasant while hearing back. I am able to speak in a call over normal phone and WhatsApp without any issues. Just a plain voice recording has this issue and not sure how do I rectify this.
What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)
A quite room where the ceiling fan was running at a moderately high speed.
When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?
Nope. It is the brand new headphone and the first time I used ever.
Any troubleshooting steps you took
I turned On and Off as suggested in the website but no luck.
(I do not work for Bose)
Try this. Go into the Bose Connect app. Tap on the picture to go into options. Tape on 'self voice'. See if a change in the settings helps (such as "high").
(longshot - but worth a try)
Thanks , first of all I did not have that option earlier but now after it asked me to update the Bose Connect App, I got this Self Voice option. Nevertheless, the change in settings (to high) did not have any effect at all. It still adds up a lot of other noise which is extremely annoying to hear.
Hi I tried and it works. However I have a few other issues.
(1) I could still hear the voices if any being spoken but a bit filtered. Is there a way i can truly achieve the 100% noise cancellation? Or is just an impractical expectation?
(2) At times I cant' easily switch between two devices (PC and Mobile) despite me pressing the center button on the right side headphone (controls). If I disconnect and reconnect again, it works. Any idea on how to resolve this?
1. The only thing you can do is that option with the noise cancellation HIGH (which is the default when you turn it on). Users have been 'complaining' about noise cancellation for literally the 2 to 3 years I have been lurking here. Some have said 'claimed' that earlier firmware did a better NC job but Bose has a policy of upgrade only - not downgrade so you would have to read those posts to see what they did.
2. Sounds to me like an 'issue' with your PC BT drivers. You may want to start by trying going to the BT vendor (not PC vendor) and getting the most recent drivers (so for example, my Dell laptop uses Intel BT drivers). The easiest way to tell if it is your PC is to connect to 2 smart/mobile devices and see if you have the same issue. You have no control over the BT communication in the firmware of the QC35ii other than wiping everything out on both sides, and re-initializing the QC35 to factor defaults. Most of the 'problems' I have had or see here are caused by Windows or Mac.
(1) Thanks. I will try to explore the relevant other threads and see if I get some light.
(2) Alright. I am fine with this, as it is not much of a trouble. Occasionally it happens and I can manage it. Thanks.
