Bose S1 Pro Bluetooth not reconnecting

Hi,

since S1 Pro Firmware Update 7.1.5 January 2020 my Bluetooth devices do not properly reconnect to the Speaker. Also not by selecting it in the Bluetooth menu or using the App. It does work after manually switching the Speaker off and on, multiple times, each day.

The Speaker is constantly powered on and plugged.

I reset the Speaker, tried new pairing on all devices (tried different Windows and Android).

I was hoping for a fix by the time but this seems not to bother anyone else I am afraid.

How do people deal with this?

Sometimes works after several tries to connect.

Am I in the wrong forum here?

Hey user64457,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting over Bluetooth to the S1 Pro. You mention software version 7.1.5 in your post - have you since updated your system to the latest version 7.1.8?

When clearing the pairing list on your S1 Pro system, it's important to also remove the speaker from the Bluetooth list on your connected device.

Do you get any error messages on the device you're trying to connect?

At which stage does the Bluetooth connection fail, e.g unable to make the initial pairing, or dropping out once connected?

Thank you Dylan_R for helping.

I assume by your trouble shooting questions, this is not normal behavior?

Yes, it has the latest firmware.

Yes, the pairing list of the speaker and connected devices have been reset, also under the help of phone support.

Yes, first it does not auto-reconnect, sencond when tried to manually reconnect "Unable to connect"

The Bluetooth connection only fails at reconnecting after being disconnected for longer time (1hour or a day).

The speaker is at no point turned off, while having CHARGING, OFF, ON it is always in the ON position.

Hey user64457,

This is certainly not expected behaviour. If this continues to happen with multiple different connected devices, I recommend contacting the Bose Pro product support team to discuss available service options.

Thank you, I did.

They wanted to send the devices and keep them for about 8 weeks.

I solved it by googeling bosefirmware downgrade and some invasive steps.

Also by downgrading solved the degraded QC35 performance.

What a garbage, Bose doesn't need this kind of sly behaviour.

This will definetly impact recommendations and next choices.
