CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE HOW I CONNECT THE CABLE OUT OF THE BOSE INTO THE MIXER AND IF I NEED ANY OTHER CABLES TO RUN MUSIC FORM MY LAPTOP
First, to connect your Behringer 1204FX to your S1 Pro, I would use a standard XLR cable to go from the main outputs on the mixer to the S1 input (either channel 1 or 2). Turn the ToneMatch setting to "OFF" for that channel.
To connect your laptop, you most likely have a 3.5mm audio output jack. You can use a cable that has a male 3.5mm stereo jack on one end and either a pair of RCA connectors on the other end or 1/4" TS jacks. Either one will work and both are available on Amazon or other retailers. You would connect the RCA or 1/4" TS connectors to a stereo input on the mixer.
If you have one S1 Pro, then all your output would be "panned" to L or R depending on where your S1 is connected to the mixer. If you have a pair of S1s then you can have full stereo output for your audio. Note that you would need a second cable to connect the mixer to the other S1.
I should also mention that the S1 Pro supports bluetooth so your laptop could stream audio directly to it. There is also an AUX input which you could connect a 3.5mm TRS cable to in order to go directly from your laptop to the S1. For that you would need a standard 3.5mm male-to-male TRS cable.
Jay_55 has provided excellent advice, however, I have one small piece of advice: If you only have one S1 Pro, and if you choose the first option (paragraphs 2), get the 3.5mm to two 1/4" TS cable and run it to two separate channels on the Behringer 1204FX. Then pan both channels left, and connect your S1 Pro to the left main output. This has the effect of routing the individual L and R signals from the laptop onto the left mix bus, so you'll get both sides in a mono mix.
Otherwise, if you connect to a single stereo channel, then panning L will cause you to lose half the stereo signal from your laptop, as the R signal will be sent to the unused right bus and unconnected R main output.
Of course, if you have two S1 Pro's, connect them to the L and R main outputs, mix away in stereo and enjoy!
Yes those are XLR jacks for L and R outputs to a PA system. In the example below you would need one standard XLR cable to go from the mixer's L output to an input on the S1 Pro. The S1 Pro has combo type jacks that can accommodate XLR or 1/4 inch instrument cables (TS/TRS). Please remember to turn the ToneMatch switch to OFF for that channel.
