I am using 2- s1 pros in stereo mode with iphone using bose connect app running spotify with best sound option. When I use stereo mode the speakers have to be in 20 feet of each other or they lose signal from time to time. iphone is on wifi network tested outside and inside. Low Range in stereo mode.
Hey! Thanks for your post, sorry to hear your having this issue.
When you mention the speakers "lose signal from time to time", does audio cut in and out intermittently? If so, does this occur on both speakers?
One possible cause for this is wireless interference. Make sure there are no other devices using wireless technology located close to the two speakers. If you're streaming music on the phone over WiFi, ensure the WiFi router is placed away from both S1 Pro systems.
Hope this helps!
i have the same issues. speakers start to lose streaming connections and sometimes completely disconnect for a short time. very annoying. was hoping that the most recent update would fix this. i have gone as far as turning off all devices nearby so Bluetooth and wifi is off on those devices but did not make a difference. BOSE team please help to get a solid connection to both speakers in stereo mode.
I had this issue this past Saturday.
It was one speaker that would cut out on occasion. I tried to get the source closer to this speaker. It still happened with only the 1 speaker.
Was playing off an iPad. Music was stored on iPad. Iped was connected to internet by cellular.
Hey Scotthanna! I am sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this connectivity issue.
There are many variables and even limitations with Bluetooth Technology. As mentioned previously on this thread, other wireless technologies can interfere or alternatively, the environment itself may be unsuitable due to surrounding materials/obstacles. Ideally, you would be best to keep the S1 Pro systems within a range of 7-10 Feet (5-7 feet if you are outside as there are less reflective surfaces for the Bluetooth Frequencies). You would want to ensure that your device (Phone/Tablet) is within 5-7 feet of the S1 Pro acting as the master (the one that was used to initiate stereo mode)
Aside from environmental factors, there is a simple way to "refresh" the Bluetooth connections from both your device (phone/tablet) and the S1 Pro Systems. Simply hold down the Bluetooth Button on the S1 Pro for 10 Seconds. Next, on your device (phone/table) "remove" or "forget" the S1 Pro in your Bluetooth Device List. Finally, scan for available Bluetooth devices and connect to your S1 Pro system.
Hope this helps!
Thanks David,
Appreciate the info!!
