Bose Soundsport Free volume controls

I recently received the Soundsport free ear buds.  I am having issues with the controls on the earbuds not working.  Is there something in particular I have to do?  It connects fine, and I can control volume, pause, etc from my phone, but not the ear buds.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Welcome to the community, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry that the functions on your headphones appear to not be working. 

 

Does this occur across all connected devices?

Can you change streaming platforms from your device to see if this provides any different results?

 

I would recommend that you ensure your headphones are up to date with the latest firmware. You can do this by connecting your headphones to a computer via USB and visiting btu.bose.com which will provide you with full instructions on performing an update.

Unfortunately, even the firmware update didn't solve the problem, and even worse, I bought two of these sets and they are both the same.  I have contacted Bose, and I will be returning them for replacement.   I was told there are more updated versions of these, and that these should be compatible with my iphone 6.  VERY frustrating to say the least.
