Bose Soundtouch 130 vs Cinemate GS Series II

I live in a 600 sq ft apartment, so pretty small, and am looking at the Soundtouch 130.  I currently have the Cinemate GS Series II speakers which sound great.  I’m changing my setup (wall mounting) and the 130 is appealing for the wireless sub and minimal other wires but I’m very curious how it will sound vs what I currently have.  Has anybody owned both that can comment on overall power, ability to simulate surround, etc?  The GS speakers have 2 drivers each, so 4 total, and the 130 soundbar has 6 drivers plus 2 sound radiators so I would imagine it delivers a superior sound that I would notice.  I know the subwoofer is significantly smaller in the 130 setup but due to it being a condo building with many neighbors I have my Cinemate sub set very, very low so I doubt I would miss much there.  Thanks in advance for any input in terms of performance comparison.

Hi Kruppa,
I am happy to hear you are enjoying your Cinemate GSII speaker system and considering the Soundtouch 130 model for your next system. Jordan really has already covered and outlined the benefits of upgrading to the SoundTouch 130 model and you will certainly notice a better sound experience along with more features.
Another great feature the SoundTouch 130 offers is the ability to do all your video and audio switching using the Bose remote. You would be able to connect all your HD devices direct to the console and switch sources with a button push on the remote. You would no longer need to switch inputs on the TV itself which is much better.
I hope the information will help with your decision.

Hi Kruppa,
As you said, YES … Soundtouch 130 delivers a superior sound if you compare it with Cinemate GS II.
And also ST130 comes with more benefits:
1. It has a pair of Phaseguide technology on its bar speaker to deliver wide and crisp sound, seems you have virtual surround speakers,
2. Wireless Acoustimass bass module, to make setup become more simple, small bass size but delivers fantastic deep low bass,
3. It comes with an Console with HDMI inputs for your HD sources,
4. It has an AdaptIQ technology to make the system can learn and adjust itself to your room and deliver the best Bose sound,
5. Comes with Soundtouch, so you can listen music streaming from internet and also from your computer music library (through wifi and bluetooth)

Jordan
