Bose T4s Battery Power

Hi, Can anyone tell me if there are any thoughts on making a Tonematch T4s with a battery power option maybe similar to the Bose S1 pro speaker battery? I am looking for a setup for out door wedding ceremonies and also for my son's busking which we already use the S1 pro for. The T4s with S1 Pro both battery powered would make a phenomenal setup.

Hello MAB Events,

This has been discussed several times on the forum, ever since the S1 Pro came out.  Bose does not comment on products that may or may not be under development.

However, in all the discussions, two options seem to come to the forefront:

  1. Portable battery power stations are becoming extremely popular, and can provide lengthy run times for a variety of AC equipment.  There's a great article about using one particular unit with Bose Portable PA systems and components (including the T4s) at this link:  Portable Power Stations for L1 Systems.  The advantage to this solution is that you can power more devices (such as pedal boards), and also use them for non-music needs.

  2. Several users like the Behringer 1002B mixer, available from many music outlets.  It is capable of running from either AC power or three 9-volt batteries.  (I do not know the estimated run time when running on battery power.)

Does that help?

Hi Fish-54,

Thank you for your response.

I have seen comments on forums about portable power stations and agree that this is a solution, but it is another thing to carry, especially for a busker working in pedestrian centres. I also like to use matched equipment if at all possible.

Hopefully if there is enough interest then Bose may consider looking into a power pack for the t series one day.

Thanks again.
