I am trying to make a CD and want to know if I can come from the Master Out of the ToneMatch to the recorder. If that works then I should be able to record everything that is going throught the T1 including vocals, music and vocal harmonies, right?

Yes, if you are using the analog master out.
If using the Aux, or USB outs, you get everything EXCEPT reverb.
What type of recorder are you using?
Marantz Pro CDR310 Professional MP3/AIFF/CD-R/RW Recorder. This is our first take. If it doesn’t work we go to a studio. Save bucks this way, but must be quality or to the studio. Thanks. Coot
A CD recorder…so you only get one pass, no overdubbing.
How many instruments are you putting into the T1?
Since I use a keyboard arranger, all of the instruments (drums, rythmn, bass,) etc come through Channels 4&5, vocals and harmonies come through Channel 1. Yep we don’t expect wonders, we were just hoping to get a feel for how it sounds. If it doesn’t cut it, we’ll head to the studio. Thanks

It should sound really good, if the mix is good.
I've always had very clean recordings when the drums were digital.
I'd be willing to bet the studio won't be needed.
Thanks. As a former drummer, I’ve paid particluar attention to the drums during the mix. Next was the bass bucause I feel they compliment each other. The arranger allows me to put all instruments on separate tracks, add velocity, volume and other stuff then save. When I’m ready to play a song I call up the mix for that song and play the instrumentation with my left hand and the melodies with the right and sing the vocals and harmonies. 5 piece band with some great sounds. If I could sing better, it would be great! Take care. Coot = 70 yrs old, but still having fun.
Right On Coot!!! Power to you, I hope the recordings turn out great.
Thanks my friend we’ll do our best and maybe try to post a sample on the net. We’re doing this Sat and will provide feedback later.
Coot, how did it turn out? I’m an arranger player myself (Korg Pa1XPro through an L1 Mod.II) and I’m wanting to do exactly what you’re trying to do. Got any pointers, tips, etc., after having done this yourself? Thanks.
Hi, it went fairly well. I did follow the instructions I received from some of the other forum members. Here is what I would caution against.
1. Using the same set up they prescribed, the music from the PA2X was fine.
2. The vocals were the problem. I recommend muting your effects and sing dry. Then go back to whatever you are recording on and add the vocal effects if your recorder has that capability.
3. If you use vocal harmonies like I do, I would remove any effects from them also and add later.
We recorded on a Marantz recorder and then downloaded the data to the computer and used a software program called Audacity to mix. That is when we learned we shouldn’t have included the effects in first takes. Audacity will allow you to add effects only if they weren’t included on the orginal track.
I could send you some samples if I had your e-mail address, that way you get a better idea of what I’m saying.
This forum would’nt allow me to send wave or MP3 files.
Thanks for asking. Coot
Thanks for your reply, Coot. I’m off on a week’s holiday tomorrow, and away from my computer, but I’ll give you a shout when I get back.
Yep, we use harmonies without any effects, apart from some reverb and a bit of delay on the Tonematch. I’ll be recording into Adobe Audition on my laptop and Audition has the whole works when it comes to processing, so no worries there.
Cheers, Giner
