Can I set up in front of a full F1 Model 812 system or will it feed back?

Yes, and likely, yes!

Haha, that’s the short answer.

Are you already an L1 user, wanting more?

I am a new F1 system user. My band mate thought that there is anti-feedback tech built in so you can set up in front of it without monitors and not deal with feedback. Seems like this in not true.

Hi Brad23,

The Model 1s, Model II, and the Compact all are designed to be used behind a single performer. Multiple open mics and other factors make it more difficult to maintain performance level volume when used to support multiple players.

The line array's wave front in the L1 series, combined with the low crossover frequency and the separation of the bass speaker from the mid/ high frequency of the array make it possible to work at reasonable volume without feedback.

The F1 812, although it has a line array, also has the low frequency speaker directly behind the array and the crossover is at a higher frequency. I am not aware of anyone working in front of the F1 that is able to take advantage of the volume it is capable of producing.

None of these portable speakers have anti feedback circuitry built in.

O..
