Can't beat 'em - join 'em!

I am lucky enough to own two Classic L1 systems with twin B1s and a T1 to run it all. I am contracted to play large coffee shops (some national chains) on a monthly basis and this system performs incredibly well. I purchased a Fishman Soloamp for my smaller gigs and have been happy with it so far, especially if I don’t have to crank it in volume. The other night, I ran the Bose systems in combo with my Fishman. I split my guitar signal to go through both Bose and Fishman with my vocals going strictly through the Bose. The sound was amazing. In fact, never better. No way is the Soloamp going to replace the Bose but joined with the Bose, my sound has never been better.

I’m interested in this. For small events I’ve taken to using a Fender Passport system but this could be cooler. In respect to Bose, I’ll send you a private message? Never givin’ up the Bose system though…

I’m curious, dhcrow…what is it that you are less-than-happy with on a pure L1 setup?

I noticed from previous posts that you opted to leave the L1 home in favor of plugging the T1 into a Kustom PA system…and now you use Bose in tandem with the fishman.

What’s missing?

JD1 -
I used the Kustom when I did not want to lug lots of equipment into a small room. The Kustom was OK but nowhere adequate for larger rooms.

I don’t think there is anything really lacking with my Bose system at all. That said, I could never really find a guitar sound I liked - but I’m very picky. I use a Martin om42 with a K&K mini. I’ve come very close but still the sound eluded me.

I purchased the Soloamp for my smaller gigs. Again, don’t want to lug lots of stuff for a small room. The other night, in a spontaneous move, I brought both systems to the gig - a very large bookstore - and I was blown away by the combo of the two. They really worked well together.

As I said earlier - or at least implied - I would not give up my Bose systems. They are a dream and few systems can touch them.

I hope I answered your question.
